The ARC project Planning Application to Wiltshire Council has been withdrawn, and with advice from the Planning Officer, we will review the application and ensure the additional information required will be in the application that the ARC project will submit in 2015.
Thank you to everyone who supports this community project which will provide much needed facilities for sporting activities and community group activities, a new Big Hut for the thriving Guiding & Scouts groups, and a purpose-built practice room for the renowned Aldbourne Brass Band.
Until there is a Sports Hut, providing changing and toilet facilities for those enjoying playing sport and also using the newly refurbished tennis court, the groups wanting to play football or tennis cannot use the fields. The village provided the zip-wire and BMX track for the young people in the village – but there are no toilet facilities on site.
The planned outdoor track around both Palmers Field and the sports field would provide a safe place for people to walk, use mobility buggies, to run away from the busy roads.
The ARC project is for all ages and all abilities.
