Oktoberfest

Firstly, a big thank you to all of you who came and supported the “Race Night” last Saturday evening. It was a fun evening and we raised £961 for the new hut fund (which completely explains why I woke up on Sunday and realised I had no money left in my pockets).

And secondly, please see the attached poster for a really important date to put in your (newly purchased 2015 Scout Group) calendars. Its an Oktoberfest extravaganza which we’re already well under way organising, and which promises to be hottest ticket in town for 2015. And please don’t just think its yet another ‘beer fest for blokes’ – this is proper um-pah-pah entertainment which will be just as much fun for the ladies as well. It includes a brewery tour, real German sausages of course, fun and games and lots of sing along live music.

Tickets will be going on sale early January and will be limited to 100, so get ready to grab yours when they’re released. In the meantime, why not ask Santa for a pair of lederhosen or a frilly dirndl frock…

Thanks,

Ed (Graham Edmondson)
